Is Ontario Selectively Prosecuting MMA Events?

I have previously highlighted why there is no appropriate framework for amateur MMA in Ontario as well as up until suitable publish expense S-209 legislations are passed amateur MMA events cannot adhere to section 83 of the Criminal Code.

Despite this it appears that some amateur battle sports events are taking location without government repercussions.  Pecker’d Promotions talks about at least two past MMA events on their site which obviously took location in 2013 after expense S-209 was passed, namely the Amateur Mixed Martial Arts championship series 1 as well as 2 which are advertised to have taken location on November 13, 2013 as well as December 14, 2013 in Burlington as well as Brampton Ontario.  There are likewise video highlights published on YouTube:

I Camiseta Selección de fútbol de Polonia applaud efforts to grow amateur battle sports in Canada.  For this to occur effectively, however, a appropriate legal framework needs to be put in place.  Absent this those included danger prosecution under the Criminal Code.  To my understanding there have not been any type of prosecutions for Camiseta Gamba Osaka the AMMACS events in spite of section 83 of the Criminal Code.  The concern is why?  Is Ontario selecting to put their head in the sand when it concerns amateur MMA the method much of Canada did before expense S-209 or, worse yet, is the government selecting to only selectively prosecute amateur MMA events at their discretion?

If the government is looking Camiseta Watford FC the other method since they are now okay with amateur MMA they are going about it the wrong way.  There is no reason why amateur MMA can’t be legalized in Ontario as well as the government can select to comply with either the BC Model, the Saskatchewan design or carve their own path.  Until this is done those that take part in the sport are taking a gamble as to whether the authorities will seek to enforce the letter of the law.
